Creating your account

MLHub uses passwordless magic link sign-in — there is no password to create or remember.

1. Click Sign up or Log in in the top navigation.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Open the email we send you and click the magic link.
4. You are signed in. Finish your profile (username, bio, photo) from Edit Profile.

• For You — articles from the categories you follow (popular categories until you pick your own).
• Explore — browse the latest and trending articles.
• Categories & tags — browse by topic (Python, Deep Learning, NLP and more).

Writing and publishing an article

Choose New article in Writer Tools (or Write a story on your Dashboard). An article goes through three steps:

1. Write — a title, an optional summary and the article itself in the editor. Your draft is saved automatically a few seconds after you stop typing.
2. Preview — the article exactly as readers will see it, with code highlighting, formulas, flowcharts and the “On this page” list. “Back to edit” if something needs fixing.
3. Publish — one page for everything: who can read it (free or members only), category and tags (both required), an optional learning path, reader interactions, and where it is published (under your own name or an organization you belong to). “Save as draft” keeps every choice without publishing.

Already published an article elsewhere? Import a story turns its link into a draft you can tidy up and publish.

The editor's + menu: which tool for which job

Put the cursor on an empty line and click the + that appears on its left. Every block can be removed again (hover it for Delete, or undo with Ctrl+Z).

Flowcharts in more detail

• Three ways to build one — Templates (Simple process, Yes / No decision, ML training pipeline, RAG question answering, AI agent loop, Sign-in flow, Debugging checklist), Steps (one card per shape, “Goes to…” draws the arrows, “Add Yes / No answers” on a question) and Write (the chart as text). All three edit the same chart.
• Writing it as text — A -> B -> C for steps in a row, Ready? -> yes: Go for a labelled arrow; shapes (Start), [Step], {Question}, /Input/, [(Database)], [[Sub-process]]. A step ending with “?” becomes a question, and Mermaid flowchart text can be pasted as it is.
• Steps on several lines — Shift+Enter or “+ line” adds a line to a step; lines starting with “- ” become a bulleted list inside the shape.
• Look — top-to-bottom or left-to-right, six colour themes, an optional caption. Shapes are laid out for you and loops are drawn as dashed arrows.
• For every reader — the chart works in light and dark mode, and screen readers and the article narrator get the steps as text. Hover the chart in the editor for Edit or Delete.

Formatting text

Select some text for the formatting toolbar: bold, semi-bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, link, inline code, superscript and subscript; and for the whole line: text sizes (Large (ToC) and Medium-Large make real headings for the “On this page” list), drop cap, background colour, quote, attention block (for warnings and tips), row underline and clear formatting. Lists are typed: 1. or - and a space at the start of a line. Pasting from a web page, Google Docs, Word or Notion keeps the structure (headings, lists, links, tables, images) and drops the original styling; Markdown is converted.

Drafts & editing

• Drafts are private — find them under My articles and continue any time. “Save draft” keeps you in the editor; “Save & close” leaves it.
• Editing a published article — choose “Edit article” in the article’s “…” menu. The published version stays online while you edit; publishing your changes replaces it and increases its version number.
• Publish to an organization — if you belong to an organization, choose it under “Publish as” on the Publish page (see the Organizations chapter).

Your personalised feed

The For You page shows articles from the categories you follow. Until you choose some, it shows the most popular categories.

1. Open Manage Categories.
2. Follow the topics you care about.
3. Your For You feed (and your newsletter) now follow those topics.

While you read

• Dark mode — switch themes from the header at any time.
• Listen to articles — use the audio narrator on an article page; the paragraph being read is highlighted.
• Save for later — bookmark articles and organise them into collections under Saved posts.
• Reading history — your progress is tracked so you can pick up long articles where you left off, with reading stats.

Quick answers

Why can I only see part of an article?

Some articles are for Basic or Premium members. Upgrade to that plan (or higher) to read them in full.

Can I hide my reading history?

Yes — you can remove items and turn reading notifications off from the Reading history page.

Engaging with content

Following & notifications

• Follow authors from their profile to keep up with their new posts.
• Follow organizations for their team publications.
• Follow categories to shape your For You feed.
• The bell in the header shows your notifications; choose what you receive in notification settings.

Creating an organization

1. Go to My organizations and choose Create organization.
2. Add the name, tagline, description, logo and cover image.
3. Choose whether it is publicly listed, and whether people can apply to join or need an invitation.
4. Invite your team members.

Joining an organization

Use Search & join to find one and send a join request. An admin reviews it; once approved you appear as an active member.

Roles

• Owner — full control of the organization.
• Admin — manages members, join requests and settings.
• Editor — moderates content and manages contributors.
• Contributor — creates and edits content.
• Member — reads organization content.

Publishing as a team

On the Publish page (the third and last step of writing an article), choose the organization under Publish as; you can pick any organization you are an active member of. Members of a private organization publish inside it, for the whole organization or chosen teams.

Subscribing

The MLHub newsletter is free for every signed-in member.

1. Open Newsletter preferences.
2. Turn the subscription on.
3. Pick how often you want it: weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
4. Choose your topics in Manage Categories.
5. Save your preferences.

What's inside

• The top articles of the week on MLHub.
• Picks matched to your topics — or to the categories you have been reading lately.
• Estimated reading time for each article.
• A link to read each edition on the web.

Unsubscribing

Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter email, or switch the subscription off in your preferences.

• Views over time and content performance.
• Published posts, drafts and recent activity in one place.
• Revenue and audience insights.
• Export your analytics data.

For readers

Every member gets personal reading stats on the Reading history page.

Your profile

From Edit Profile you can update:

• Profile photo and cover image.
• Name, username, bio and location.
• Your website link.

Notifications & email

• Choose which notifications you get in notification settings.
• Manage the newsletter in newsletter preferences.

Membership & billing

Upgrade, downgrade or cancel your plan, update your payment method and download invoices from Subscription (paid plans).

Account management

• Email address — can't be changed yourself for security reasons; contact support for help.
• Deactivate your account — from Account settings → Danger Zone.
• Blocking & privacy — remove or block a follower from My Followers; a blocked person cannot follow you again. Your email address is never shown to other members.
